Gal Civ 1 Ultimate Edition (Steam) does not start

from Stardock Forums

Hi all. As suggested by the support, i'm posting here my issue.

Windows 10 computer. Steam acquired game. When launched, executable starts but stays there.

Analyse wait chain for galciv.exe from task manager: galciv.exe is waiting for another process (svchost.exe).

Always from task manager, selecting svchost.exe (corresponding PID from wait chain) and Go to service(s): RpcSs, RpcEptMapper.

Conclusion: it seems that galciv.exe is waiting for something happening from RPC.

Hope that anyone has the answer.

I had to do in order all that is written there. But at last the game starts correctly.
