GalCiv2 + Expansions

Does anyone know how to get Gamestop/Impulse working again? I have the GalCiv2 Dreadlords and its expansions all purchased through Impulse/Gamestop, but I cannot play the games now as there is no utility like the Gamestop one to DL the games I own.

 

Steam has the games but I already have them and I do not want to buy the games again, so is there anyway I can get to my games without the Gamestop Launcher?

 

I emailed the main Company last year 2017 and I have not heard from them since, I think it is sad that the original makers do not have the deciency to respond in any form, so I thought I would try this forum to see if there is anyone else who could help.

I resent an Email to gamestop/Impulse to ask if they could help, trying to get hold of Stardock Support is hard, so does anyone know how to get the GalCiv2 Series updates and the Galactic Civilizations II: Expansion Bundlewithout going through Impulse or Gamestop please?

Yes, there is no DL link or Button, just one for Impulse/Gamestop App, have it installed but I cannot connect to my account on it.

Nope, I tried the link I was supplied and I could not find the bit I was to DL, too much info on one page I admit I was confused by what I was seeing so did not manage to DL.

I added the Steam version to your account some time ago.

You just need to activation the Steam key in the Steam client:

Thanks, will try it, since I Put the question in I purchased it through steam, so will it be the same now as last time or does the GalCiv II Ultimate Edition have what I could not get back before?

 

I only have the Ultimate Edition option link for CD key and that has already been activated, so the

That DLC content is it included in the Ultimate edition?

Just recently wanted to play galciv2 again saw this thread when I was looking for a 2.2 patch download. From what I gather you need to have the ultimate edition to get the patch on steam or gog I believe I have a similar bundle that jaguar1973 had I bought it on impluse before the ultimate edition existed. So I thought I would piggy back on this thread and ask if I could get this issue resolved as well please?

My problem was getting hold of the Special DLC bundle as Impulse/Gamestop Launcher was no longer. So when I had trouble with the url I was given I decided to purchase the Ultimate edition through steam.

 

If you do as Sean Drohan says, then it should be easy to sort your problem out, still good luck there jonathan_123

A great game, of which I am angry I cannot play anymore because of the stupid "Stardock Account" that is now required to run this game . I have registered for this dumb account proccess and the game errors after launch every time.. .
