Why are there Two Discussion Forums for this Game?

Is there some way that both Steam and the Stardock discussions groups for Ashes of the Singularity be combined?

Seems a little odd that they can be completely different and posting on one does not register on the other.

I seem to generally end up on Stardock as I click on the ingame link to Go To Forums.

Every game on Steam has their own Steam forums. They are entirely separate to our forums here, but we are active there.
