Crashing after around 5-15mins

Hi,

I bought Ashes of the singularity on steam, but regardless of which settings I use, it seems to spike the 3d stat on my GPU to 100% then crashes (see screenshot)

As you can see nothing else spiked just the 3D rendering on the GPU and it's not even like that far in I've got many units on screen, plus its not exactly a low end GPU.

System Specs:

FX-9590 @ 4.7Ghz 
GTX 1080 Windforce Edition
16Gb DDR3 RAM
