I've been looking forward to this. Looks fantastic from what I can tell so far.

Two questions:

Are we getting any new races/factions?

Can we get a primer prior to release that helps modders migrate their content over?

I, for one, welcome our new overlords... (please, stop hurting me....) and look forward (oh god, did you just sell my spleen as a resource on the new marketplace?!?) to using the new features...

Very cool! I do like how I was saying in a different request thread that stuff like the news network should be in the game, and lo and behold, you guys and gals were working on just that!

And people in that thread thought it was silly fluff.

Anyway, I'm intrigued (wait, that's actually an unintended pun in this case, whoa) about how this will play out, for sure. I assume there won't be any new races since you didn't feature any in the trailer though. Which bums me out a bit. I was hoping for at least 2 or 3 more from the devs. The official races are of a much higher value than the non-official fan made ones. And there definitely should be a third human faction that the AI leans toward Malevolence - it makes humanity a sort of "taster" civ that keeps in mind that the vast majority of people will play as Humans in these kinds of games while still offering some variety.

My big question though, is if, going by this trailer, you're adding a bunch of VOs to the game? Because I don't know if the VOs in the trailer are going to be trailer specific, or if you're kind of integrating some of those barks into regular gameplay? Because in terms of VO, GalCiv3 is a nearly silent game as is. I assumed that this was an intentional choice, though I have always found it a bit strange too. Like, usually in games like these there's some section that produces regular VO callouts in some manner or form, and thus far GalCiv3 has been really quiet on this front.

But a news network would make perfect sense as a place where this is applicable.
