Windows Blind skins - DARK THEMES ?

To all,

Loving Window Blinds, had it for a while now, the one click skin change is awesome, the reason I bought it I guess.

The other reason, is that the customisation of the UI in Win-10, still isn't flexible enough for me compared to previous versions. The Windows 10 Dark theme goes some way, but still doesn't cover all the areas, such as Windows Explorer or other Apps (software).

I spend a lot of time handcuffed to my PC with work, using Architectural CAD software, so it's essential to have dark/grey backgrounds to give my eyes a restful working environment.

I've downloaded quite a few skins from the expert 'skinners', as listed below:-

DARKNESS by LightStar

SOFTNESS  by LightStar

FLATDARK  by LightStar

GRAYTEX  by LightStar

The Darkness theme I liked, but the Win10 Explorer didn't have a grey background, so the Graytex theme is the one I'm current using & seems to knock-out all white areas with grey (uk) very well indeed.

Are there anymore themes like this ?

An issue I'd like to understand & help resolve, appertains to one CAD software called STI-SPIRIT-ver2017 from SOFFTECH. Part of the UI, has a side menu, which can remain on screen, or slide away off screen, this is controlled by a simple PIN-ICON, click to pin to screen or click to unpin to screen. However, all the WINDOW-BLINDS skins, for some reason, makes these PIN-ICONS at the top of these menus disappear. The other software I use is called SKETCHUP-PRO-ver2018, this has similar side menus & the PIN-ICONS are visible & work as intended.

I discussed this with LIGHTSTAR sometime ago & it suggests the issue is with the software developer, so would anyone have a suggestion what UI protocols SOFFTECH could try to fix this ? or even just a rough idea.

You can try this one but DaveBax, it's really good!

https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/windowblinds/8765/

Also, you can PM me with your email address and a request for editing Darkness to a darker gray explorer background and I can send you an updated version, but not sure if it will help with the SOFFTECH issue(s) or not.

:)

Well yes, I could contact you that way, but there is no way to send you an updated file that way. I can only send it to an actual email address.

You downloaded dark themes from someone named LightStar.  Obviously that's the problem!

Hi LightStar,

The link I provided does have my full contact details & e-mail address, just look under pro-info. I could include it on this forum, but I'm not too sure if one is meant to with respect to forum rules ?

You are correct not to post personal info. It would only get removed when a mod or SD personal saw it. It's for your protection.

Just send me a PM, no one sees it but me. Just click on LightStar under my picture to the left and select Private Message.
