Some improvement suggestions after initial testing

Hello,

I am a happy user of Groupy, it gives a more organized and comfortable view on a small screen like my Surface 3. I noted a few things in V1.0 that could be addressed:

  1. For some programs, the window icons are not shown in the tabs. This happens for example with MS To Do, Skype, Onenote (UWP), etc.
  2. Trying to group a Powershell (privileged) and File Explorer  window and then isolate them to separate windows again makes the system dangerously unstable, requiring a restart
  3. When file explorer windows are always to be grouped by default (as can be set in the 3-dot settings part), the  grouping does not always take effect immediately (intermittently), leaving a blank upper ribbon instead. The window has to be moved before the grouping takes place, which is not nice

Overall, a nice impression though, hope my remarks help in improving it

Best regards, Jurjen

I can confirm 1 and 3 happened to me as well. Didn't try with privileged shells yet, but considering your post I'll avoid grouping them.

I'll add a couple of issues that I found or improvements that I'd like to see:

  1. Grouping autocad has a strange effect on the top bar
  2. When you group two or more maximized firefox windows and then ungroup them, the last one remaining will have the maximized status but will not fill the whole screen
  3. Automatic grouping would be way more useful if I could define lists of apps that should be always grouped together, so grouping would automatically occur when two or more of those on a list are running. I say lists because one list is obviously not enough
  4. A right click on tabs should present a close all tabs but this/close all on the left/close all on the right menu like browsers
  5. Once I closed a group of Explorer tabs right-clicking the icon on the task bar and the whole shell restarted (the taskbar also disappeared for a moment then came back)
