Yor colonize with 0 pop

The YOR will create colony ship from planet with low pop with 0 Population aboard.

It will then colonize planet with 0 population.

I have also seen it's durantium going in the negative. Probably after manufacturing population !

"It will then colonize planet with 0 population."

This happens when a colony ship is built at a  shipyard assigned to a planet with 1 or less population.  The ship launches with 0 population.   It seems that only the presence of a colony module is checked when trying to colonize.  Players can do the same thing.

One trick for your colonization endeavors is to load only 1.

"One trick for your colonization endeavors is to load only 1"  Or 0.5.  :)

That's why I beeline to a certain benevolent tree for its 3rd selection. Free 2 point of pop so always go for .5. Makes expansion feel like a cheat.

You can still do this? That is just great. I had reported this way back in Jan 2017 through support. It was about upgrading your ships with a colony module and being able to colonize with 0 pop. Both would be fixed if zero would deny colonization.

Normally minimal population limit denies this. But I found an exploit in that upgrading a ship to a colony ship still allows it to colonize planets even though it has 0 population on board.

Also such a colony would be useless if the population growth took into account the current population like in GalCiv 2. But sadly the colony ship crew are able to get 300 million people for the planet in a week as seen in the screenshot.

I have forwarded your report to our Development Team for their review and recommendations.
