Planets not sponsoring shipyard

v 2.5

Just DL v 2.5.

How can I avoid the production loss on planets not sponsoring a shipyard.  Seems the global military production cost exists regardless....help.

thanks

The military production is not coming out of any other queue, it just doesn't happen if you don't assign a shipyard.  So, technically, you aren't wasting anything.  If you can't help yourself and are that worried about wasting the ship production, either assign the planet to a distant shipyard and live with the distance decay or else build yourself a shipyard.  If you don't need yet another shipyard, then you don't need that extra bit of production to win the game.  Give up your min/max optimization obsession and let the extra hammers go.  They aren't worth the bother.  Not that I don't find this difficult myself, you must understand, but it is really the only answer.  Don't sweat all the available nits you can pick unless you realize that is how you have fun.  In that case, build a shipyard and make Treasure Hunts there, that is one avenue I have followed.

After reading this, I created a thread under Future Ideas, asking that Treasure Hunters go on auto-repeat.    If you agree, you could reply in agreement.    That way we could create Shipyards on every stray planet, 0 decay, and just have them auto-generate cash for us without all the micro nightmare.

No!  Nothing on auto-repeat without an option to turn it off!

thanks for the reply.

I, as a very limited casual player, have come back to the game for the first time since Feb.  and miss the ability to let some planets concentrate on ramping up (early), tech, influence, etc.

I think I'll make a beeline for the 50% less decay bonus on the pragmatic tree and assign all planets :)

I agree is not a good idea you forget about what you are doing.

Remember, no shipyard can have more than 5 sponsors, though.
