keyboard won't wake from screensaver

When the deskscapes screensaver is on (even in Preview), i can only turn it off with a mouse event. No key on the keyboard will turn off the screensaver.

I tried the same test with the Windows 10 screensavers and they all exit with a keypress event. Any idea? I don't see any related config setting and i've already tried swapping the keyboard to a different USB port.

I may be misunderstanding something here.  Deskscapes isn't a screensaver - it doesn't turn on after a period of inactivity and then turn off when activity begins.  It's either "on", "paused", or "off".  You can pause it when it's on by right-clicking the desktop and selecting "Pause Deskscapes".

Hopefully that helps, but again, I may be missing something.

Deskscapes has a feature thus marketed:

  • Apply any dream as your PC screensaver

When i use a "dream" as a screensaver, i cannot exit that screensaver using the keyboard. However, if i change the screensaver to a standard MSFT screensaver, the keyboard does exit that screensaver.

I can reproduce this.  I'll take it to the dev team and see what we can do.

Thanks for reporting.

Ah, that's what I was misunderstanding, and yes I see the same thing here as well.  Thanks Zubaz.
