Forcing Credit card payments?

I tried 2 browsers (firefox/IE) and neither would redirect to PayPay. Gotten to the point that I've pretty much gone off the idea of buying another copy of Fences.

Is there a problem with the browsers in particular or do you'll just need a decent web developer?

Wonder if that is new. Just bought Start10 about a month ago using Firefox. No issues.

I'm not sure what the problem would be, we have no other reports of issues.

Usually ad-blockers are a cause of browser troubles.

Well, IE is crap, that goes without saying, obviously.  I notice a lot of firefox bugs, especially with running noscript (which you should).  Chrome spies the crap out of you, so I don't recommend it, although it stopped side-loading flash I heard, so at least that's something.

Honestly, I use opera as my secondary browser, it honestly doesn't ever seem to have any problems, I highly recommend it.

Actually, I'm pretty much using Opera as my primary browser since the last FF update, which seems quite buggy to me.  It just isn't connecting the way it used to, and sometimes it refuses to connect at all.  I've tried it with all the extensions disabled and no go.  I even tried uninstalling it, running CCleaner and reinstalling it, without success.

In the end I gave up and went to Opera, which I must say has impressed me thus far.

I had been hearing so many positive things from friends and family about the Opera Browser, so I thought I would give it a shot. I have to say , man, I'm loving it. Wished I had started using it long ago.

Hello Ace. Good to hear from you.

I have been using Opera since it came out years ago. Have always loved it.

I use Chrome only when I have to, which is only for business purposes.  I've lately been using Brave for personal stuff & I like it a lot - the most reliable page layout rendering & scaling of any browser I've tried & LastPass is well-integrated - but it's still a work in progress.  The most recent Brave update has effed up font rendering, unfortunately, resulting in blurring of all text.  It also has a very crippled .pdf handler that isn't compatible with the business apps/sites I have to use (but for that, it would be my business browser, too).

I tried Opera a while back & decided against it for some reason I can't recall.  May give it a go again.

Highly recommended.  They even have a build-in VPN for their 'incognito/private/whatever' mode also, which is a nice touch.  It's always been a great browser, just never the most popular one..

True, Opera might never have been the most popular, but it certainly is a great alternative to other, more popular browsers and is highly recommended.  Using it right now and I have doubts I'll go back to Firefox, given the positive experience I'm having with Opera.

I never use Chrome, don't even have it installed.  I just never trusted it, and when it comes bundled with other freeware, you have to be vigilant and opt out or it will install on your system to give Google another way of watching what you do, whether you use it or not.  Yup, one has to wonder how desperate Google is to watch your every internet move when it is paying 3rd party developers big money to bundle Chrome with their software.

On the whole of the internet or are there other Stardock pages that are not optimal?

If provided a list of pages and issues I can make sure they are provided to the web-dev team for evaluation, prioritization, and possible fixing.*

*no promises made  ;)

Just a follow-up:  I've tried Opera again and it now handles everything I can throw at it, has no rendering issues and is very quick.  I finally have a single browser I can use for everything.  For now, anyway.

Thanks for prodding me to give it another go.

Yeah, I took some prodding from a friend who recommended I switch to Opera, and I'm glad I made the change as it does all I need it to and isn't presenting with issues like Firefox was when I last used it.  Fact is, I'd been using Firefox since 2004 because IE didn't impress me, but now I may as well uninstall Firefox and keep Opera as my go-to browser.

For reasons incomprehensible to me, Firefox still has serious page rendering issues (at least on sites I have to frequent).  Been that way for a long time now.  How they can not get that right is a mystery.

Yeah, there's that, and I encountered it more than I would have liked, but my most recent issue [with the latest build] is that it doesn't/won't connect to anything.  I kept getting error messages that sites were unavailable or that the proxy server was refusing connections.  The previous version didn't do that, but I can't go back to that one because the Firefox installer always goes to the most recent edition.

Not to worry, though, I am quite happy with Opera and will continue to use it.

Yep , I especially like the "Speed Dial" tab on the sidebar. Got all my shortcut links setup for all my most visited and favorite websites, it really is incredible.

Ghostery will also cause rendering issues since it shuts down tracking services. I've had several situation where I had to turn on tracking services to get something to load properly. As for purchases, if it doesn't accept PayPal I don't buy anything. My card numbers don't go on any site.
