I am retired and spend a lot of the day reading or surfing actually I do both at the same time. I use a regular recliner with a cordless mouse and key board, I have coffee tables on both sides of the recliner for the monitor and other items. After you try this setup you cannot imagine going back to anything else. Oh yes my TV is in front of me (at several feet) and the stereo within remote range. Usually all of them are on at the same time. Sometimes it is hard to type with one of my cats in my lap but other than that it is perfect.
