Looking for a solid Photoshop alternative, that does NOT have a Subscription model? Affinity photo

So since i got tired of the Adobe subscription model, i was looking for something to replace Photoshop.
I looked around and found Affinity photo, it is 54,99 euros, it has a buy once update forever model.
It seems to have all of the functions of Photoshop, or at least i have not found something important missing yet.
One of the coolest things is probably live preview on tools, + it loads PSD files faster than photoshop :D
I know surreptitious advertising of some degree but i think it would be worth looking into for everyone.
Its available on MAC and WIN =)

Here is a Video of someone that took the time to actually make a Video about it for you guys in "English"

Before buying any program, you want to check your computer's specs against the specs for the program.

To check your computer's tech specs (without Speccy): For example, to see what version of DirectX you're running:

1. Click start then run (Or Press Window Button + R to open run)
Then type "dxdiag". Then click Yes and you will see your computers specs

2. Then, you can see what version of DirectX you're running (Affinity requires minimum DirectX 10 or above), wait for "dxdiag" to run and then

go to the Display tab and on the right side see Version: (ex. 10.05.1337 - just a number I made up).

You must have AT LEAST 10.xx.xxxx or higher for Affinity to run.

Also, you might want to wait until the fall when Luminar (currently only for Mac) for Windows comes out...

:)

Well, you can also try Corel's PaintShop Pro Ultimate 2018. Buy it once, no subscription, and tons cheaper than PhotoShop overall. Have a look HERE .

Affinity Photo is good, I bought it a few months back and have been happy with it. Also got the iPad Pro version.

So you don't need Photoshop anymore?

I installed it last night.  seems to be faster than Photoshop Elements 15.  When I move the mouse in PSE it feels as if I'm dragging it through thick paint.  Affinity is much smoother.  Lots to lear but so far I'm liking it.
