Is it worth buying?

So i bought this game when it was on sale on GoG, and had really fun playing it... for a while...

There where no one to play with because there where no one that played the game through GoG, so the only thing i did was to sit in ques... ( https://forums.ashesofthesingularity.com/482307/page/1/#3673702 )

Now, i love the gameplay and everything and havent found any newer or bigger rts game than this that focus more on strategic planning then micro management.

So the thing im asking is that if its worth buying this game on steam instead, or is the community too small and the game almost dead?

Depends how you define dead.

 

There is still dev development going on, so there is still stuff to look forward to.

But im also woundering about the community, is there still any people playing? Or will you have to sit and wait in ques forever?

You can definitely find opponents to play multiplayer with. Especially on weekends.

It is rather difficult to find games, but, people are still playing.

I wouldn't say I would buy the game again at full price though on steam just to maybe be able to play a few more games.

Segmentation really sucks for MP games.

Maybe Stardock can give you a discount or something.

Thanks for the replys. I think i will wait with buying the game, and hope i will find a sale on the game soon. As you said, probably not worth paying that amount of money just to be able to play a few more games.
