Unbeatable One Player Skirmish Challenge?

Here is the setup:

- Map is Procyon

- Player One (Human, Team 1) is PHC at position 2

- Player Two (AI, Team 2) is Substrate at position 3, with random strategy

- No other players

- Leave all settings to defaults

 

I have been trying this for weeks, and just can't win.

No matter what I try, or how many times. It's amazing. 

(I did beat it on intermediate, when I wanted to see if it could be done at a lower level, but normal is nigh impossible.)

 

SO in short, I dare you...  :)

I tried it on normal difficulty, I launched a big air assault 25 minutes in but it got destroyed and the AI had 80% of the map taken so I'll have to try again some other day.

I like to turtle but it's not valid at all in the bigger maps and the AI is very good at taking all the territory on the map giving it a massive economy, if it was smaller than a large size map I think I'd have had a much better chance.

AI has access to whole map, but there is honestly no reason you can't expo just as fast. 

In theory, a win is definitely possible, but, OMG it's a hard setup!!!!

I hope others give it a try too.

 

I'd love to know what happens with players who are more skilled than me.

It can be done.  I wouldn't bet I'm a skilled player, just see the map + eco tab. :\

My guess would be you are not keeping up with expanding in combination with perhaps a more competent AI variant than shown here.

Don't give up, you'll figure it out!

I beat it first time. But my way was to cut off their resources at the neck ASAP. That worked pretty good. I don't like to see if I can expand quicker than the AI, I like to outsmart it if possible.
