Greetings from a Gal Civ Player!

Greetings all!

I am am an Elite Founder of Gal Civ III and have loved the Gal Civ series for years going back to my purchase of GCII Gold, oh the hours spent there! 

This weekend I decided to buy the Elite Founder of Star Control. I have never played Star Control. I know NOTHING about the game, or the lore. I have heard it was one of the best sci fi space games ever made. I will say that the early preview of this Star Control reminded me very much of Spore. The planet moving around was very very much like Spore and the same similar look to planets and creatures. I played many hours on Spore and graphix for Star Control do seem close (to me). 

I do know that this game will probably be one of the best games of all time. I do not make that claim lightly.  After seeing the changes to Gal Civ via Crusade I quickly realized that Star Control will be a very good game. Few folks have the 'touch' but I think Frog has that gift to create great games.  I also know that Star Control will be on the Oxide Platform, something that will give full DX12 support and I intend to take full advantage of that next year! 

I look forward to what the future holds for this game.

Yes, that would be the game. I actually replayed it very recently. Still an excellent game. If you decide to give it a go, make sure to keep notes of everything you learn throughout the game. Otherwise you'll lose direction and fail miserably :P
