Is Star Control Elite Founder open or closed?

Just like the title says, is the Elite founders edition of Star Control open or closed? I am dithering on funds and may make the jump to Elite founder for Star Control if its open...

IslandDog, I just got the Elite edition and got an email for a download. Can I do the download at work and again at home? I am not doing it yet as I would rather do it at home but suspense is killing me.

curious, see founders levels still available.  I was founder thing for GalCiv3 (although not a major tester by any means).   Has Stardock started rolling out versions (alpha or whatever) of this game yet?

A few select people have gotten an early version of the game from what I understand, however, the vast majority hasn't yet.  I'm not exactly sure what the plan is for early access going forward as I missed that conversation on the discord channel as I know they are making some changes to the founders program as a whole when it comes to that, mainly because of how Steam takes reviews.  I hope we get an official announcement on that soon.  Good luck and would love to see you in the Star Control family.

Thanks.  I will hold off and take a wait and see stance.  I did not jump on right away because I have never played Star Control.  It just somehow avoided my radar back in the day even though I loved Starflight 1+2.  I have downloaded and started playing the freeware thing which should get me some exposure to the game.

Is there a link to system requirements anywhere? I'd love to sign up to the Founders Programme, but given I'm running on a Mac, I'm not sure whether it'll work for me.

I'd rather say Ur-quan Masters HD

My recent HD version playthrough was so enjoyable and much better visually than normal UQM, and at the same time didn't really lack anything gameplay-wise in comparison.

 

btw anyone any idea why avatar uploading always fails (despite satisfying requirements of a pic)?
