I have been trying to change my avatar and I can't seem to be able to. On the page where you should be able to do it it says that upload is initialising, but nothing happens.
You can change your avatar by going to joeuser.com > My account > Images
or via Stardock Forums > Account > images and change your avatar.
After changing, clear your browser's cache and sign in again. Should do it.
My account says the same as you describe, but my avatar changed...

It seems to be an issue with the Stardock forums. Not sure how I'm meant to report that.

An 'auto-reply' will be sent to the email linked to your account. Don't answer it or what you report will be kicked to the end of the queue. A real person will answer after that.
I see what the issue is now. I'm using chrome and the upload requires flash which doesn't work well with chrome for some reason
I experienced the same problem. Had to download both PPAPI and NPAPI flash in order to get it to work. You can get them at Adobe.com.
The one on the left is npapi.

Except you shouldn't actually use or install flash. This is a recurring theme from Brian Krebbs..
