Campaign Noctus-Dreadnought unplayable in 2.2 Preview

Hello, I'm fairly new to the game and I decided recently to opt into the 2.2 test preview. Before the test preview, the enemy dreadnought in the Noctus mission was killable before it destroyed the nexus in the start of the mission, but with the 2.2 patch it kills the nexus before I can get the Prometheus to aggro onto it, or do anything, even on the easiest difficulty. Hopefully that can be fixed before it releases.

The Substrate Dreadnoughts did get some buffs as they were undperforming in Multiplayer. Thanks for bringing it up, I'll look into it.

Did we ever get a fix for this?  I have the same problem as well.  Tried at least 20 times.  My nexus is destroyed before my dreadnought can reach the enemy dreadnought.  I have tried on easy mode too with no luck.

Unless of course I am just being a neophyte and there is something I am missing.  Most RTS campaigns I've played don't end 10 seconds after I have started it.  Any ideas?

Sorry, I haven't looked into this yet. Getting 2.2 out and everything for it was pretty hectic. I'll look into this soon.

Someone had this problem on the Steam forums too so I took a look, I'll just copy paste here:

huh, I gave this a try for you and failed the first time too. If you wait for all the dialogue to finish at normal speed your Nexus will be destroyed.

Got it on the 2nd try though :) You have to spam click on the dialogue so it skips through at a faster pace. Than grab the Promethius and attack asap. He will reach the enemy Dread and the first or 2nd salvo will force the that dread to turn and face you. You'll kill it and you'll be on your way.

That Dread received a significant boost in the last update patch or two so it now kills that Nexus faster than it would have when they put this level together. Hopefully they tweak it a bit now (esp. as Generals is in this thread).

If the issue is the Nexus being destroyed too easily then it'll probably fix itself as I plan on increasing Nexus health in the next update anyway as base sniping can be quite frustrating in team games.
