No im asking that my stars are individually named, not a butload called starnames, so i dont have a butload of planets called star system 2

If you are looking to have individual planet names, such as Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, instead of Sol I, Sol II, Sol III and Sol IV, I have not seen such a mod.

I wouldn't use it in my large galaxies because I don't need a situation where I can"t remember if the planet named Lydia is in the system named Ashton, Ashengray, or Ash Tray.  Yeah, there"s a searchable planet list, but I like having a directly linked and obvious starname/planetname  pattern.

Good luck on your search.  If the planet names are procedurally generated, then the game isn't likely be able to deal with a list of names or a different model of star name and planet name relationship.  Then again, a modder might speak up and say, "Oh, that's easy."

Stars are individually named, there should be no duplicates of star names in the galaxy unless you modded the star name list.  Therefore, if your game is running out of star names it sounds like someone modded the game to remove the star name list and it's defaulting to "Star System"  Therefore you have a million planets name "Star System 2".

If you're referring to what erischild is referring to, then that would mean each star would need a sub directory with planet names up to max planets allowed in a system.  There isn't anything I'm aware of either.

you can also rename them when you colonize the planet.

If you are getting stars named "Star System", then I don't think that specific string comes from the base code but must be coming from somewhere in your mod.  Good luck!

I think i took out the offending file. Sorry to all you modders, but i had to edit some of the mods that just didnt work, and others that were conflicting with what i combined. For instance the xtak the game wont let them start out with ringworlds. I like them because they come with tech tree. I also had to move files around to make all tech trees to work in the tech editor.
