Upgrade Windows

Hi everybody,

I am using Fences 3.0 in my company laptop with Windows 7. Now, the laptop will be upgraded to Windows 10 next month.

In this case, can I re-install Fences in Windows 10 and activate it with the same licence?

Yes.

Best thing to do would be:

Use Fences "Snapshot" feature to backup your configuration.  Copy those files to another disk (e.g. external drive).

Go into Fences and deactivate it.

Uninstall Fences, then reinstall it and activate it after the upgrade and copy your snapshot files back over.  I'm not sure how well restoring a snapshot would work after changing Windows versions, seems like there could be some location issues and I haven't done it myself.

I'd also make sure I had the most current Fences version before installing it on Win10, I'm seeing version 3.03.0 :

Thank you so much for your support!  :andrew:

I purchased two licences yesterday. The order is under processing.
