Graphics Disappearing, Please Help

Whenever I start a new game, around my beginner castle as the Necromancer, I see some nice trees and grass waving around on my purple terrain, yet whenever I save then load ANY game, I see a barren purple terrain with none of the trees or bushes present just a second ago. It's permanently gone now no matter how much I save then load the file until I start a new game.I just bought this game to support Stardock but it disheartens me to have the cursor issue on my previous thread along with glitches like this. It may seem small but I like the game to look nice, especially my home area and to be bug free within my first 30 minutes of playing.

I see this too, but only as a temporary problem.  Whenever one of my towns levels up the terrain around it disappears.  If I zoom out and then zoom back in again using the mouse wheel the terrain comes back, though.

One thing to try would be to select different video quality settings, to see if that affects it.
