Harley Myers AKA The AVMAN Needs Help!!

Prayers And Well Wishes Needed!

Guys, when it rains, it pours.

We have another great member of WC in need of any help he can get.

Harley, a Master Skinner here at WC has been the victim of a house fire. The Myers family home burned to the ground recently, and they had no homeowners insurance.

No one was harmed, fortunately, but they lost it all. They are currently in a motel room where the local fire dept. placed them, and they have help from family to keep that going, for now.

Please help by sending prayers, well wishes, good thoughts, and karma.  The link below, and the external link above, is for anyone wishing to donate.

(2016 needs to get the .... out of here)

Thoughts and prayers to Harley and family. I too experienced a similar loss. Years ago, on my way home from school, I walked up to my house to see the fire department outside and two floors of a three story building blackened, windows blasted out and everything gone. My youngest brother was still in the crib and my grandfather tried to get to him but was overcome by smoke. Fortunately no one was hurt. Its never easy, especially this time of year. So here's to Harley and family. Material stuff can be replaced but loved ones cannot. Be at peace my friend. Give your family one big hug and a bigger one from all of us at WC. <3

I was in my folks home back in the 70's when there was a fire. I discovered it. Started in the kitchen. Thank God I woke up or the whole house would have burned down with me in it. My parents were out. It's no fun being in a home that's had a fire even after it's fixed. You never forget. I send prayers out to the whole family.

My heart always is deeply saddened deeply whenever I hear of a house fire.  My former sister-in-law lost two young children in a house fire and she lost everything, too.... including her partner of 7 years.  My brother helped her to start over again but she was never the same and the tragedy never left her, so I am aware of the devastation families go through after such an event.

My heart goes out to Harley and his family at this difficult time, as do my hopes and best wishes.

I would like to help financially, but sadly I am not in a position to do right now.  Things will be tough for the next month or so with some big bills due in Nov and early December.  This is never a good time of year for me, with almost as much going out in costs as I get in, and then there's the huge costs of sending money to the US from Australia.

Last time I sent money to help out somebody in the US, most of it was gobbled up by bank fees and charges the exchange rate.. At this end it cost me AUD$13.97 to send $20.00, and of the 20 bucks at the other end, the recipient got just USD$7.13.  In other words, it cost me 34 bucks to send 7.... and  I resent having to hand my charity dollars over to fechen banks/bankers.

Sorry about the rant, but if I could afford to help financially at this time, Harley would see very little of the amount sent, which annoys me because he needs it so much more than greedy bankers.

They have been at that level for quite a while willstuder, no one is contributing any more, just goes to show the generosity of the human race. So sad............. :(
