Same bugs for me with 10.50 as i have in the betas. Modern apps window positions are changed and misaligned every time i open them. They get bigger and misaligned all over the screen for every opening of the app. Won't remember window positions. I have ShellFolderFix installed. When disable WB it all works fine again. I rebooted and did Clean install.

Think i will stay with 10.07 which works fine on my mashine with no problems.

Did you contact support so they could collect additional information as I suggested?

Unfortunately we cannot reproduce this so more information is needed so we can track down the difference between our test machines and yours and so reproduce the problem and then fix it.

Regarding ShellFolderFix, despite a lot of testing we cannot reproduce problems with it forgetting window positions.

For the modern apps, you originally mentioned them not remembering their positions, but you have now mentioned them getting bigger.  That was a useful bit of information as that has been reproduced.  The position remains correct (top left coordinate), but the width and height are getting bigger depending on theme in use.  I will see about getting this addressed in a future update.

It would be useful if support could collect information as fixing the issue is clearly the best thing as there may be others experiencing the same but saying nothing.

I posted a vid clip of the flashing taskbar buttons in windowblinds that work perfect on the default theme in a previous thread. Strange thing ive encountered is I have two copies of windows 10 home and neither will flash the taskbar buttons, but my brother who has windows 10 pro its works fine. So I'm wondering if there is some difference between the 2 windows versions.

Thank you for been able to reproduce it, as it saves me from format and Clean install windows once again. Some progress on this matter. For me i resize them so all modern app frames are inside the frames, meaning just making the whole window smaller all 4 borders/frames.

Then every time i reopen the modern app, usually Microsoft Weather app, it just get misaligned, it could open anywhere on the screen, and bigger for every time i open the app.

This also happens for me with the windows own settings windows, the one where we make all the windows settings. same things gets misaligned and bigger for every time i open the window.

Using Stardock Central I installed WindowBlinds 10.5 (existing one was version 10.0.5).
This produced an Assertion error, after boot/logon:
F:\RTM\VCTOOLS\VC7LIB5\SHIP\ATLMFC\SRC\MFC\WINOCC.CPP
line 329
In addition, when starting IE or Outlook EMET 4.1 closes these applications (DEP violation).
Reinstalled version 10.0.5 and all is ok again.
OS is Windows 7.

People seem to have better luck downloading the executable from the "My Downloads" page and installing from that.  Here's the procedure I use to install, there may be a couple of unnecessary steps in there but it has been rock-solid-reliable for me:

Download the new version from your account page:

https://store.stardock.com/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/myaccount/products

Copy off any modified shipped skins you want to keep.

Apply the default Windows skin to all logins.

Temporarily disable your antivirus

Deactivate the currently installed version of WB from within WBConfig

Uninstall the currently installed version of WB

Reboot

Temporarily disable your antivirus

Install the new version of WB

Activate the new version of WB

Reboot

Re-enable your anti-virus

+1 Loading…
