"It's Big, Really Big" .... Lobster

This caught my eye as amusing trivia.  I had no idea lobsters got so massive.  The one pictured is 14 pounds, article says the largest on record is a little over 44 pounds - so I guess that would be about 3 times as large in dimension.  So where's the SyFy movie "Attack of the Cranked-Off Lobsters"?  ;)

A 44 pound lobster would require an LOT of butter. :D

That's what I was thinking, a lot of butter and a big pot to cook him in.

And plenty of beer to wash it down

Look guys. I will take care of the butter. You all figure out what to put it in and how to boil the water.

Ya the tail from that thing plopped down in front of me with a tub of butter would probably be the end of me, but man, what a way to go  :P

The skipper of a sailboat I was on vacationing in the British Virgin Islands in about 1982 caught one much bigger than that.  While standing holding the base of the antennae at the head chest high, the tail fin brushed the deck.  It was Neptune massive ;P |-) .  Lobster salad for the whole week.
