Question on the game using Minor factions/races.
Does the game just use the ones it has defined, or will it create dynamic ones from set of background/foreground/logos?

I am trying to come up with a method to visually identify minor ravces. The reason is when an AI opens trade, you never see if minor/major, and at my old age, it's hard to remember which are which.
One thought I was thinking was to make their graphics "less" than perfect, i.e. they have poor communications.
- add old TV scan lines.
On the other side of the coin, does the system dynamically generate Major races from Background images/icons when it needs more?
No, you have to make your own major races.
If it is a minor race the initial encounter window will mentions on top that it's a minor race.
