switching units and saved games

Hi everyone i hope i can explain my two problems well here goes.

problem number one

whenever i end my turn the game will change to another unit, can i change it so it stays on the same unit.

problem number two

I started a new game, now this is not a big problem but my playing time in load game is correct but my playing time is not correct on the bottom of the main screen, is there a way to change the main screen playing time to be the same as the load playing time, not a big problem but thought i would ask.
