1.81 starbase extensions stopped adding

Hi,

 

I'm playing a game under 1.81 and the starbase extension bonuses have stopped adding. ie when I build a base and add the 2 and 4 square extension modules in it's recorded as just the 4 square extension: which is annoying since it's one square away from being an economic asset.

Has anybody else had this? I can easily send a save if necessary.

This is not a bug. The +2 upgrades to the +4, the +4 is not added to the starbase in addition to the +2, it replaces it. Just like every other kind of module that upgrades.

Military Ring + Extensions stack, that is the only one I have seen that does this though, as the Extensions are upgrades of one another, they do not stack on top of each other.

I have been adding both extensions to all my new starbases all this time and you say its not needed? i could have ignored the smaller one??? Geesh

except the lesser one is a rquirement for the greater one isint it?

Correct. All starbase upgrades are linear, and nothing can be skipped.
