Restore Snapshot from Old Computer

Hi -- I had to reinstall windows but would like to use previous Fences setup. I see  your help page about restoring snapshots but I can only choose from the initial snapshots on the new machine. How do I select and restore snapshots from the old machine. I have saved the correct snapshot from the old computer. I tried to move the snapshot xml and png file to the new install but to no avail. Thanks.

The easiest way to backup and restore Fences settings is via the snapshot system. Simply copy the snapshots from one machine to the other, then restore the snapshot:

Snapshots are stored in the following directories:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Stardock\Fences\Backups
You will need to replace USERNAME with your user account name on your PC.

Alternatively, you can import the following registry key into the new machine's registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Fences

To restore a snapshot:

-Right click on the desktop and select "Configure Fences..."
-Click on "Layout and snapping" on the left hand side of the configuration window that appears.
-Select a snapshot you wish to revert to. A preview window will appear showing you what the desktop will look like.
-Click Restore Snapshot to revert the desktop to this preview.
