[MOD] Enhanced Ship Leveling 1.2

So as the title says :)

Adds four new ship components:-

  • Bridge - Increases Attack by 2% per level up.
  • Tactical - Increases Accuracy, Jamming and Tactical Speed by 1% on level up.
  • Engineering - Increases Strategic Repair by 1% and Defence by 2% on level up.
  • Astrometrics - Increases Sensors, Range & Movement by 2% per level up

Each component is limited to 1 per ship.

Includes modified ShipBluePrint.xml(Based off IAB Mod). Yes the AI use it, 1 module for Tiny, 2 for Small, 3 for Medium and all 4 for Large and Huge.

*Chuckle* I had to do same thing got 117 turns into a game then realised this mod wasnt in my mod folder :)

So ships do not get the exp bonus unless they equip these 'parts' into their designs?

 

I like making mid to late game Large Surveys ...

 

Aggressor class and the Antagonist class survey vessels. All armed, armored and well its Enterprise on a seek n destroy mission..

Thats correct no bonus if the ship has no parts :) (Its how Mercenaries get thier additional bonus's btw). The parts I made only have a mass of 6 + Hull scaling. I also edited the ShipBluePrints.xml to include the new parts. I used the "SupportModule" entry since that is not used untill end game and not listed in ShipBluePrints.xml at all. (its used by one of the precursor components)

since the file is ESL_ShipComponentDefs

does that mean if i made changes to ShipComponentDefs they will work with this mod or do i need to make them compatable?

Hello, about this mod and AI Tweaks mod: Do i understand correct that firstly i have to instal AI Tweaks and then replace AI Tweaks\Game\ShipBlueprintDefs by ESL_ShipComponentDefs from Enhanced Ship Leveling mod, or.... ???

  1. Install AI Tweaks.
  2. Install ESL, Overwrite when prompted.

But ShipBlueprintDefs from extra downloaded AI Tweaks is newer and bigger that ShipBlueprintDefs from ESL+AI Tweaks download.... overwrite it anyway ?

Seems I may not have updated Nexus with 1.2 :o

Hi Horemvore do you have any plans of updating this for 2.0. or is it working just fine as it is and the same question would apply for your other moods like Planet traits & features or Colonization Events.

They should all work fine under 2.0.
