Start orb in Windows 10

Here's the thing: I'm trying to recreate the Windows 7 look in Windows 10 for personal use, but I can't get the start orb to stick out on top of the small taskbar like in Win7 and Vista, neither in WindowBlinds or Start10. Is it doable, or am I wasting my time trying?

Don't think it is possible in Windows 10.  :S

Try CustomizerGod,but it may not work according to the programmer:

"If you're using Windows 10, you may notice read-only resources in the left-hand pane. Or if you open shell32.dll in Windows 8+, it too will be loaded as read-only. This happens because the system file containing those resources is digitally signed. Modifications to the file will break the signature and Windows will refuse to load it. This'll hopefully be circumvented in a future update to CustomizerGod."

Yet,it's replaceable for IconPackager on win 7.

@LightStar: Yeah, I thought so as well, since the same method that worked in Win7 won't work in Win10.

@Gaspershooters: Thanks for the tip. I will check it out. Edit: Just saw that CustomizerGod doesn't allow changing of the start button in Win10. I'll just have to wait and see if StartIsBack++ will add support for WindowBlinds skinning in the future. ClassicShell works just as I want it to, but it doesn't really look the way it's supposed to...

Could you create a thinner taskbar using transparency along the top and have the start button appear at the full height?

I considered that, but that would look weird with maximised windows, so I dismissed that idea.
