What the hell is this fences 3 bug?

Recently, I've been encountering an odd bug where rolled-up fences sometimes spill icons back to their original positions as depicted in this video:

Anyone have a solution or workaround to get this to stop happening? Its kinda getting on my nerves.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this problem. Can you download and run the tool below:

http://sd.stardock.com/Support/supportToolTest/SDSupportTool.exe

Then attach the .zip that's created and send it in with a ticket to support. With your ticket, if you could also link to this forum post, it would be most helpful:

I have ran and sent the results to my open ticket.

Thanks for the tip, I have also sent a link to this post along with it.

Let's try this...

The following tool will purge the application (your layouts will be preserved).

**IMPORTANT** Please save any open documents/work and close out all of your applications including browsers. Your PC may restart after running this .bat file.

Please follow this link:

http://sd.stardock.com/zubaz/apps/Purge_Fences.bat

If you are running Windows 8/10, you may be notified that Windows is protecting your PC. Select "More info" and then "Run anyway".

Reboot the computer and reinstall the application. Note: It is important to get the most recent version of the application.

For getting your product, key and activation instructions, please see the following:

https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/104/101/how-can-i-get-my-registration-information-again

Please DO NOT change any of the default settings until you verify that the application is running as expected in its default state.

If Fences is functioning as it should be, please try restoring a previous snapshot to see if that helps the situation any.

To restore Fences to a previous snapshot:

-Right click on the desktop and select "Configure Fences..."
-Click on "Layout and snapping" on the left hand side of the configuration window that appears.
-Select a snapshot you wish to revert to. A preview window will appear showing you what the desktop will look like.
-Click Restore Snapshot to revert the desktop to this preview.

Let us know please...

No, the issue is still occurring, however I did narrow it down to a repeatable method.

Its when you save and delete files from your desktop though the right-click context menu.

Try saving a 4 or 5 files from your browser to your desktop, and try deleting them with the right click menu.

This happens regardless if the fences are rolled up or not.

Thanks, the batch file worked for me!

I had uninstalled, manually wiped out the associated folders and registry keys, and then re-installed, but none of that worked on my Windows 7-64 system.
