Multiplayer - Max Players

Hi,

Sorry if this has already been addressed, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I am just wondering if there is any plan to increase the multiplayer player limit. Our group typically plays with 5 or 6 players, which is obviously over the limit, and kinda sucks because we all already bought the game (last year actually, and we were just looking to enter it into our rotation recently).

Thanks!

The game flakes out currently with 3 or 4 players it would be horrible with 6.

Multiplayer limit to human players is still at 4 (however, haven't attempted to play w/ more than 2 lately)

Multiplayer limit to AI players appears to be 100, although with map limit this would be about 1-3 planets per player.

Multiplayer limit on map size remains what it was which I believe is Huge.

Max number of player without it becoming a croissant (flakey), I'm not sure what your looking for here as the main issue right now with MP is the waiting for each player to move so with a 8 player MP I could only imagine it would take forever to get to turn 100.  Two player is okay but still has some long turn times.  I was hoping they would eventually impliment a turn time limit but that hasn't happened.  We do get a few crashes on a two player game yet usually 1 in a couple hour session, sometimes more but, depends on the game and how far you are in the game.  Either way MP is not anywhere near as stable as a SP game but, better than it was.

The problem here is it takes hours of play to reproduce most of these issues and Stardock doesn't invest in good MP troubleshooting because only a small part of their customers play MP (because of it's flaws and requirement of another player).  My request still holds up to play an extended MP session w/ Stardock to help eliminate these issues but, they haven't taken me up on my offer :P

I've only played multiplayer of 2 - over a connected LAN - and we've had no problems lately.

If we added another player or two - perhaps 3, I was interested in knowing whether or not how stable the game would be if we played it over the LAN and internet at the same time.

Multiplayer limit of 4..............that was the number I was minimally hoping for.............though, five would have been better.

The only problem that seems to happen is that every time Stardock updates to their latest and greatest version, we have to start a new multi-player game due to incompatibilities crashes...................

Luckily, when 1.82 came out, we were going to start a new game anyway..................

Well another player and I normally play Sunday and Tuesday evenings starting between 8-9 PM CST... If you two ever wanted to attempt to play a four player game I'm sure we could work something out.
