Obj. Dsktp A La Carte?

Best way to download?

I just purchased Object Desktop. Apparently, as it is a Suite, I can pick and choose those I would like to install OR I can click 'download" and bring in the entire suite. Is this correct?

There likely are some in the suite that I would not use and some between which I would choose. Before I click on the master download button, I'd like to know what I am facing. So far I have only fences and chose this to upgrade my Fences AND get some other ditties.

I am not a gamer. I like function. What are the best featured components of the suite of software with which to work first?

You download the individual apps from your Stardock account and install whichever you want.

That will depend on a few things, including which Windows OS you are running and what sorts of desktop enhancements appeal to you.  Not all the individual applications within the suite are compatible with Windows 10 (yet) and a few may never be.  Most are compatible with Windows 7 &/or Windows 8/8.1.  A few are legacy apps that are not compatible with any OS beyond XP.

Check this compatibility matrix.

I start with Start8/Start10 because it is the most familiar way I have for opening things I don't use regularly.

Then I install Multiplicity because I am almost always using two PCs

Then I install Fences to keep projects organized

Then I install ShadowFX because I usually have more than a few windows open and that helps them stand out from each other.

If you are on Windows 10, there are some internal incompatibilities to deal with as well: ShadowFX is disabled if Windowblinds is being used, I believe.

Thanks. This is good. I am using Win 10.

Looks like update Fences, see if Tiles works, I'll check the compatibility matrix.
