Minor UI tweak suggestion for creating buildings

This is something that might help speed things up, and shouldn't require much coding change.

 

In the main window, the right-side summary pane for your empire's planets show what building is currently being worked on at each planet. It would be very nice to be able to manipulate the building queue here, instead of having to swap to and from the actual planet screen.

I'd like to be able to do three things inside the planet summary pane, in order of perceived difficulty to the devs:

  1. Hover over the building, and see the cost to RUSH finish it. Be able to Left Click on the building, and force the rush build. (or maybe put a small "rush" icon next to the progress bar, like there is for ships in the lower left individual shipyard summary pane)
  2. Right click on the building, and be presented with a popup of the planet's queue
  3. After #2, be able to select one of the buildings in the queue, and have it moved to the top of the build queue

This would greatly speed building, since you'd really only have to visit the planet summary screen to layout the buildings, not every time you wanted to rush build or just see the current build queue.


Similar things for shipyards.

 

Frankly, the more we can do on the main screen, the better. Saves a WHOLE lot of clicks, and my wrists.

Whatever can be done in the UI to reduce mouse movements will be much appreciated. I'd like to see hot keys for building basic structures on planets. I'll make a new thread detailing my ideas soon but want to think about it a bit more.

This will be a better game if players can do basic things more quickly and with less mouse movement. There's so much potential in this game and much potential for UI improvement. Stardock makes some RTS games and I urge the UI designers of those games to take a look at GC3 since they may have some useful ideas.
