You can check your Stardock account: http://download.stardock.com.

If you have the game on Steam, you would download from there.

I checked everywhere on the download page and I do not see any links for patches only to re download my games.  Thanks

I don't believe there is a separate patch download. You would just need to download the latest full game file.

I own an "old" limited edition (steelbox) of galciv2 and wanted to upgrade to 2.20

i can only download the gamefile of 1.53 version. did submit a ticket 4 days ago and no answer so far.

guess i will have to keep waiting ^^

1.53 is the final version of the vanilla GC2 "Dread Lords" game.

The Community Update has only changed things from the latest xpac "Twilight of Arnor" - which is included in the complete "Ultimate Edition" release.

So you either own TotA as separate extension or the UE, in both cases you simply register your game to the Stardock site & then you should be able to have access to a direct link containing the latest (2.20) version.

If that doesn't help perhaps Stardocks support can do something for you.

I own each piece as a separate purchase from Stardock.  All my serial numbers are registered.  Can't get v2.20 to show up as a download on my account page.  When I go to the support link above and enter my email and pw it says it's not valid.  Tried several times and I'm certain it's correct.  Stuck.  Please help.

When you go to your account page, can you log in successfully?  (I'd guess not.)

IIRC, there is phone support from Stardock.  I think that's your best bet at this point.

Yes I can log in fine on my account page, but not Stardock support for some reason.  Weird.  Figured out a way to open a support ticket using my email address but without actually logging in at Stardock support so we'll see if they reply.

Got this sorted out with help from Support.  Great to see the game is still getting support after all these years.

Great.  Let us know what you think of the new stuff.

Part way through my first game and it feels like the AI is too willing to accept a bad tech trade.  I can routinely get far more than I give.  Also noticed the AI will always add in credits to any deal it is willing to accept.  Maybe my diplomacy is much higher than theirs.  Just an initial impression obviously, and I can always turn off tech trading so it's not a big deal.  So far I like many of the other changes.

Not my experience.  The AI in 2.20 holds out for trades of 2, 3 or more times the research costs. Unless you 0Wn him.

'Course, The Mighty Flabozz (Drengin ruler) is ugly and smells bad...

AI adds credits???  I've never seen that.  I always pad out with credits, but never seen the AI demand it (unless it's asking for tribute).  How does the conversation go?

well automatically he's not going to add credits, for that you've still got to click on his money if the conversation is still written in green letters after offering a barter

what did indeed go overboard from CU 2.20 onwards was the individualized WillingnessToTrade-tag in each unique techtree. as of now, all races will trade the same techs for the same value - the major thing that makes a difference is the discrepancy in diplomacy.

So you say, but that's not what I'm seeing.  Just checked running the new CU.  Tried a trade with Friendly Korx.  Offered double RPs plus 4000 bc and was refused.

Offered Eco plus Research Treaty for Eco (my eco and res are both bigger than his).  Refused.

His Diplomacy is 74, mine 64.

Researched Xeno Intimidation. Diplomacy now 89; Korx 74; Altarian 80.

Ran a turn to let things settle.

Korx refuse triple RPs plus 5900 bc for Research Centers.

Altarian accepted quadruple RPs for Expert Logistics.

Yeah that's what I meant.  I can always demand credits from them for any "green" deal and they will pay.

which techs did you offer?

Hell, I don't remember.  Does it make a difference?

perhaps. because of tech-inflation and also, if you've offered multiple techs, de-evaluation of prerequisite techs  :O

No tech stacks, only unique techs.  Different mixes, too.  I tried Korx again about a month later and he still wanted better than 2:1, but not as bad as before.
