Can rezipped theme cause CursorFX to lock?

Changing png colors and then rezipping to curxptheme

I have, on occasion, changed a curxptheme to zip, uncompressed, changed colors of png files, rezipped and renamed back to curxptheme without issue, but this last time all seemed fine until the cursor locked and I had a hell of a time getting Win 7 restarted and then managed to change theme even though cursor was not visible after restart. So what sorts of things would cause this? All color changes were in Photoshop CS6. I even saved the theme as a cursorfx theme within the app, thinking this might help, but it also locked. How do I test for issues, or where should I look?

Thanks for link. I can definitely use this, although I think the issue is script related or...

 

I noticed that the pressed state png files were not the new color but the original color (before cursor locked), so I replaced them with the new ones, saved the theme and the problem seems to have gone away. I hesitate to say this, but that seems to have seemingly solved the issue, although I can't figure out why. The original and new pressed state png files are identical except for color.
