Who has the old Master of Magic license?

Hey guys,

I found this article the other day and saw how you guys had a bidding war at the Atari bankruptcy auction for Master of Orion and other games yet there was no mention of Master of Magic which surprised me as I know you guys have tried to get it from them in the past. So who on earth has the license these days then?

The answer is: Nobody really knows.  Atari ostensibly has it or has the best claim to it.

We own the domain. www.masterofmagic.com :)

Thank you for your replies. That's a shame that it's still out there in limbo. Was kinda hoping someone would wrench it out of Atari's hands after all these years but I'm guessing someone else having the trademark complicates things. Clearly this wasn't a problem with Master of Orion.

Being that Master of Orion and Master of Magic started in the same place its a shame they didn't stay together through the 'legal journey'.

I would assume that wasteland interactive might have some sort of agreement in regards to their game(s) Worlds of Magic and Planar Conquest. The game plays somewhat close to MoM
