My Best Buddy Died Today

My Best Buddy Died Today

Life sucks sometimes.....

Feeling sad today. My best buddy in the world, Spanky, died this morning at 6:30 AM.
He apparently had a heart attack.

He was a good dog. I miss him already.

We were close. He loved me and showed it. Life will go on, but it'll never be the same......

Sadly, it looks like our other dog is going to have to be put down.    X(

Oh no, that is so sad after losing Spanky not so long ago.  You have my sympathies, Jim, that's gotta be real tough on you.

On a brighter note, I just became the parent of a 3 week old pup named Buddy.  He is one of the 3 that Angel and Dazza made together, and a real cutie to go with it.  He was first born and runt of the litter, so he needed that little extra attention and I became attached to him while ensuring he got fed and etc.  At first the mother was just going to abandon him, so I made sure she fed and cared for him.  Now at 3 weeks he is thriving and growing well, though he's still smaller than his brother and sister.  Anyway, I've not had a pet to call my own for a while so I decided to keep him.

I like Buddy the most out of the three pups, and I think the feelings are mutual.  Whenever I go in to check on them he shimmies toward me and whimpers until I pick him up for a cuddle.  Once in my hands he nestles in to get comfortable and is quite happy until I put him back the bed with his mother again   Yup, I think Buddy and I are going to be great companions... and hopefully you'll eventually meet a lovable bowdler who'll melt your heart and make you wanna take it home.

Bowdler?  Yup, dogs go bow wow.... and a creature who make such a noise is obviously a 'bowdler'.

It wasn't what we wanted for our Toby so he was brought home and we buried him in the front yard beneath a tree he liked to pee on if he got the chance. It just seemed a more fitting final resting place than some landfill site.

I know the agony only too well when Toby was attacked by a Rottweiler and was badly hurt, we was told it was going to cost anywhere between 2 and a half to 3 thousand dollars which neither of us could afford, so the other option was to be kind to our Toby was to put him to sleep  I cried all the way home from the vet hospital holding our lil man they wrapped him up in a towel  Steve, Mark and Russell buried him  and as Mark said they burried him under the tree where he liked to pee lol.

Sorry Jim. It's a double whammy in such a short time and that is hard pill to swallow. I feel really bad for you. My condolences Jim.

She's not gone yet, just suffering. It breaks my heart to watch her suffer. Getting close to decision time.
