Screen Capture...

With Windows Blinds 10, any screen capture software or 'snipping' tools makes Explorer crash! :(

Which tool are you using as it should not be doing so.

I use Faststone's Capture with no problems.

Ctrl>Prt Sc works

If you're looking for something free, Awesome Screenshot in the Chrome Extension store works in the browser AND will take screenshots of your desktop from the browser as well.

Hope you get it worked out. :)

Camtasia Studio, Greenshot ScreenShot Tool, Windows Snipping tool, you name it!

I just Upgraded to Windows 10 Insider Build 14291, so there may be 'inside' issues! ;)

Lemme mess around for a few days.

Thanks for your replies! :)

Insider Build 14291

I was tempted to opt in for the 'Insider' builds. Glad I didn't. I'd probably be ripping my hair out.

Clean install of W10 Build 14291 and now I can't even get WB to install!

Anybody know what this is all about? :

"Encountered a sharing violation while accessing C:\Program Files(x86)\Stardock\WindowsBlinds\Screen.exe"

Disable your antivirus /antimalware apps while installing.

Got 'er! Thanks very much! :)

UPDATE:

The 'Screen Capture' issue is a Windows glitch, apparently the latest Build doesn't play nicely with multiple monitors!

Are you using an NVIDIA video card, because their latest update had some serious issues with dual monitors.

Yeah, I'm using the Windows appointed drivers.

Problem is, the secondary monitor is DVI, I suspect.

the secondary monitor is DVI

I use DVI on my 'other' PC that runs Windows 10 (It's one I piut together out of a few broke down PC's) and haven't had any issues at all with screenies. And I USUALLY do. The print screen button almost never worked for me in any previous version, that's why I always used Faststone or SnagIt. But with Windows 10 I have had no issues at all in this area.

Hope you get it worked out. Let us know here if you do and what the fix was, please. I may need it down the road. ;)

I'm still down to one monitor but, all 'Snipping Tools' are working. Waiting on a sweet deal for another 27" monitor for HDMI.

Camtsia Screen Recorder does not work while Windows Blinds is running though! :(

Camtsia Screen Recorder does not work

If I'm not mistaken, IslandDog uses Camtasia. If I'm right, maybe he'll pop up and help you out.

UPDATE:

Windows 10 Insider Preview update, (Mar 25, 2016), to Build 14295, seems to have fixed the multiple monitors/snipping tool issue.

However, I still need to Unload Windows Blinds to run Camtasia Recorder.
