New to WindowsBlind

Making a Dark Theme

I am brand new to WindowsBlind, first thing I am on Windows 10.  All I am looking for is a Dark Theme (Black background/White Text).  I know there is the contrast Theme but it is so ugly.

Mainly I have a Windows 10 Pro Tablet I read and use in bed, and the White just kills my eyes besides making the spouse upset with the light.  Edge has a Dark Theme, Office has a sorta Dark theme.  As I like how the start menu works, I don't want to use Start 10 and when I look at the customized skins, I see some awesome ones, but I don't want the Start changed.  I would like something simple.

Any ideas?

Without Start 10 a downloaded Windowblinds skin should not change the start menu. With Start 10 you have the option to have a start menu that looks like the win 7 or you can choose to only use the win 10 look. Who knows you may want to change up now and then. However you won't lose the win 10 start menu just because you have Start 10 installed.

About your White issue that lights up the room while working in bed. Would not be a problem for me as I would have you sitting in the kitchen and not in bed next to me. When you decided you had enough of the tablet you could come to bed.(lol) OK,back to the issue. First thing I would do is not go back to many years looking for a skin to work on win 10. Many skins may not work well but of course it won't hurt to try any. Keep in mind there are areas when working with win 10 that can't be skinned. Will they be able to in the future? Maybe time will tell. A WB with all White text would have several areas on win 10 that you would never see the text. A simple example would be the Control Panel left side. On win 10 the text there has to be a darker one as you can't change the left side color which is already White so you would never see white or a light text there.

My suggestion would be to just try different skins and maybe you will find one that works fine for you. They can always be deleted.
