Missing GDIPLUS.DLL

Had some malware issues on my Laptop and had to do a restore.  Just kept data files and removed all programs.  It seemed to work well but there is an issue with the above mentioned missing DLL.

Any ides on how to fix this?  Probably got removed with the malware.

Windows 10

I did a Restore and wiped all installed programs but this problem remains.  Is there an web address with win 10 ISO I can burn to DVD?  Try restore from that?

You can download the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft and use it to make and burn an ISO. Or use a thumb drive.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10

Or, I could glean the .dll from my PC and send it to you.

I have both Win10 Pro, and Home.

Not really. It'll go in the same location where I find it on mine.

Oops, maybe not, I have it in lots of locations.

Maybe better to go with the reinstall.

You could try running sfc /scannow in an admin command prompt. It sometimes fixes/repairs system files.

You make it sound like a side-effect.

It's actually its job.....and is supposed to do it all the time...;)

Yes, Paul. But about 25% of the time, at least in my experience, it'll run, and give the message that it found errors that it couldn't fix.
