A tech tree in this game would be great!

I love Ashes so far, but I noticed that every game feels kind of the same. There is some unit variety, but they are easily available and don't feel different enough. Because of the focus on large numbers of units, you can go for some mixed balanced composition of units and that's good enough. It would be great if the units and structures were harder to access but were very rewarding.

What I really want in this game is some tech tree that impacts large scale game-play. Knowing what your opponent is doing and reacting to tech choices is fun.

I don't think more factions are needed, but it would be great to have some irreversible tech decisions during game-play that has high impact. The correct choice may depend on map and your opponent's strategy.

I did Makeup a while ago about the how the game will look like with a Tech/Research Tree a la sins

i do support a Tech/Research Tree, i hope the Dev's will make something like that in the future.
