It's a minor thing, but highly annoying. The ZoC borders often disappear and can only be "fixed" by exiting and reloading the game.
I just noticed this as well. I second the sentiment of it being a small issue, yet highly irritating (especially given how frequently it seems to occur).
minor thing??? it makes the game unplayable! it happens everytime load a savegame file when in game, except the first load after start the program. I tried the unthinkable but I can't help it. It is time somebody do something to fix it. (F E ultimate edition)
It also happens deterministically for me. I tried basically all the combinations of checkboxes in the options and after each game load, I have no borders (even in cloth map). Given that city borders have a gameplay influence (where your settlers can do their job), this is a bit more than a minor bug.
Stardock, this is *not* how you are supposed to incite us to play Ironman mode!
(OTOH, in cloth map, it could be nice to have our empires fully shaded, like the minimap does, instead of just the border drawn...).

Not only do I experience this bug as well (city borders randomly becoming invisible) but I am also experiencing frequent crashes since my game updated on Steam. It's become virtually unplayable.
Very, very disappointed.
The settlement borders dissaperaing has been around a long time. If SD actually comes up with a fix for this - might you post it for the rest of us?
I have had this happen but only if I load a save game from a game so far and to fix it is to exit and reenter the game.

Certainly annoying. It happens only if you enter main menu after loading a starting a game. The initial one is okay, but if for whatever reason you enter main menu again (to load or start a new game or whatever) it will happen.
So, don't click on main menu again, or restart the game.
I absolutely love this game, but this bug is driving me nuts. Having to restart the game just to get city borders back is SO aggravating! Please Stardock, fix this bug!
Hi, just started playing this game, and I have the same issue. I guess not everyone does, but I reload frequently and this is making the game really awkward as I am still learning how to play. Can Stardock confirm if there is a support ticket open and what is happening?

Nearly a year after they reproduced the problem, and still not fixed. Gotta say I'm not very impressed by Stardock...
