I felt sick when I read about his passing away. I have been playing Blackstar all weekend and really enjoying it and hoping beyond hope he may tour down under and then to find out he has died was just shocking.

For me the trinity of rock was based on Lou, Iggy and David, they have provided me with so much pleasure over the years. Many of the bands/musicians I love owe them such a massive amount. Now we are two down...

Yeah, I was just reading about this, and his long time friend, Brian Eno, says that Blackstar, which has an emphasis in life, death and the hereafter, was released on Bowie's 69th birthday and his parting gift to the world.

It is a sad day for music and the world in general.  David Bowie gave so much and made the world a better, happier place, may he rest in peace.

Reducing David Bowie to a 'singer' doesn't do him justice at all. A great musician is no more.

Not only a singer ANd musician, he was also an actor with several movies to his credit, Labyrinth being one of them.

Labyrinth being one of them.

But his best was a classic...Stranger in a Strange Land and The Man Who Fell To Earth.
