Can we please get some valid information about Iconpackackager for Windows 10. 
-Will there be an update ?
(If this has been answered somewhere else I haven't seen it)

-Well safe to say is "Everybody wants it" seems pretty accurate to me
The way I read FB's statement is that Iconpackager will be developed for Win 10, but that it may be lacking some features of previous editions, like live folders and etc. There again, I could be wrong and FB is saying that Iconpackager will be developed but other components of ObjectDesktop won't be.
Then again, I could be entirely wrong... as all my ex-wives would argue, 
In any event, some clarification would go a long way to easing users minds about the future of ObjectDesktop and its various parts.

Seriously, though, I do hope that Iconpackager is getting some Stardock love, and not just for Win 10, but also Win 7 and 8.1

I read Brad's words as meaning they'll be working on IP for 10, but they won't be putting a lot of resources into it, meaning they're not gonna hurry, so be patient.
Yeah, it could also be that... tho some folks 'll be thinking they can take their time so long as they hurry up. Not that I'm worried about compatability for 10, but I'd sure like to see some update love for 8.1.
On another note, I've been trying out the latest Ubuntu and Mint offerings to see which may become my primary OS further down the track. Thus far I'm undecided because both have good points and are eay enough to use. A review I read on the latest Mint distro was rather scathing and damned it for poor network connections and an inability to connect to the internet, but I did not experience those issues on my machine and will continue testing the OS for future use.
I guess now the question is when MS pulls the plug on Win 8.1. Given its continued push to get 10 on as many machines as possible before 2018, I'm guessing it won't be too long before the bad news is delivered and I'm saying bye bye to Windows for good.

Yeah, I have seen that, not that I've done anything much about it as yet. I'm still trying to decide which to use as my primary OS, so it hasn't been a priority. The thing is, I have a machine that I can dedicate to Linus distros, and thus I can install several to try... and keep should I wish. However, that is not my main rig, which I will want to be using for most of the time, hence the testing to help better decide when the time comes. However, I may not have as much time as first thought.
Given win that 8/8.1 is probably the second least popular edition of Windows [after ME], I don't see MS prolonging its life anywhere near as long as previous editions, not when it wants to push Win 10 onto as many devices as possible by the decade's end... meaning my days with Windows are likely numbered.

Nah, I'll still be around for a while yet. That's just in relation to my primary machine/OS. Even when Win 8.1 is no longer supported by MS, I'll still have uses for it on a non-net connected machine... meaning I will still want to skin and dress it up. Not only that, I have a non-net machine with XP on it for gaming... and that Fisher Price look just HAS to be customised. I don't like XP that much, but it is the only OS some of my games will work on, hence its necessity.
