Minimap and Keyboard Shortcuts

Hello, new player here.  A couple thoughts.

1.  I think it'd be nice if Bloom Wells were a different color on the min-map (like Purple), instead of everything being yellow.

2.  Why can't we use the the number buttons when changing keyboard shortcuts?  Currently, selecting servos is set to the function keys.  I HATE using function keys (unless it's for quick saving/loading) I would much rather use the 1, 2, and 3 number keys to select my Servos.  Having that option would be nice, but right now if I try to re-map anything to the number buttons the game just beeps at me.

Edit:  Also, it would be nice if there was a button in the Servo Hangar that would allow you to un-equip all items on the selected servo.

The number keys are (hardcoded) reserved for the use of groups.

You define a group by selecting units and then hitting a number key while keeping < ctrl > depressed. From now when you hit the used number key you select all the units that were selected when you defined the group.

In your case (if i understand your intention correctly): select the first servo, hit < ctrl >< 1 > to assign the 1 key to the first servo. Select second servo, hit < ctrl >< 2 >, select third servo, hit < ctrl >< 3 >.

Of course these group bindings are temporary, meaning that you have to do them ingame; and that when a servo croaks and is relaunched you have to assign the key to him/her again.

Happy hunting.

Thanks for your reply. For context, I'm a total noob when it comes to RTSs (they generally scare me off).  So if my suggestions make no sense, that's why.  I tried to get into AoEII, but once the game gets to point where there's so much stuff to keep track of at once, I just freak out.  But since this game is mixing giant robots and Diablo, I figure I gotta give it a shot.

I'll just click on the portraits to select specific servos.
