My results: Windows 10 upgrade/Stardock apps

Overall, the SD programs hog 81% of my CPU.  It goes from 99% to 18% after I unload all SD programs.

What works:

CursorFX works well.

WindowBlinds 10 seems to skin everything correctly, including Chrome.  Too bad Modern apps can't be skinned.  Ugly!

Start10 works great but missing the Run... command entry.  In combination with OD or ND you cannot pass in the Ctrl key to invoke the standard W10 menu if wanted.

ObjectDock Plus 2.xx works but very slowly.  May switch to Nexus Dock.  I will miss Aero Peek howevere, ND doesn't seem to support it.

WindowsFX 6 works.  There is a weird glitch if I disable WFX.  The desktop temporarily reverts to an older dream image and then  resturns to the current one.  One other possible side effect I have not yet fully determined is WFX's fault.  When I close a dialog, the contents of the dialog disappears first and then the dialog shortly after.

Tiles work perfectly.

Fences is now working.  I uninstalled and reinstalled Fences again, this time as administrator and it seems to be working again.  There were no errors or warnings during the first reinstall but decided to try admin rights the next time.

What doesn't work:

DeskScapes 8.5 works until the screen sleep kicks in.  Upon revival, DS appears to have unloaded.  I can start the dream animation again by starting the configuration program, but exiting sometimes pauses the dream again.  The right-click menu for resume dream is disabled.  It is also a CPU hog taking 20% or more when it's running regardless of the dream.

An uninstall and reinstall of DeskScapes has not fixed the CPU hogging issue.

You do know you can configure Start10 to show the run entry and Windows 7 by default does not show that either.

Video dreams will use more cpu than others.  If you have multiple graphics cards expect cpu usage to be considerably higher and not recommended.

Ok, thanks, I found the Run option and it's active in my SM10 menu.

DeskScapes 8.5 has been a CPU hog even on Windows 7.  I haven't found a single dream that makes a difference.  Someone else has noted the DS unload problem after a monitor comes awake.  I can't find that thread to see if a fix was every discovered.

I  have 6 computers.

All of them have working Fences without issue.

4 of them are Windows 10.

What!? WindowBlinds 10 is out? I've looked and it still shows as only being available for 7 and 8 with 10 due "soon"... I'm anxiously waiting for a Win10 compatible version!

You'll need to be an Object Desktop Subscriber...and have 'Show Beta Versions' ticked.

One of the perks of the OD Subscription is early access, although the real  reason/benefit [to all] is OD Subscribers tend to be more 'involved' with the skinning/modding of their OS and as such provide Stardock with more pertinent bug/issue reporting...;)

Ah, didn't realize this was a beta version being talked about. Thanks for explaining that, Jafo. I'll be waiting on the release version then.

I  have 11 computers.

6 of them have working Fences without issue.

All 6 of them are Windows 10 dual booted with Windows 8.1.

EDIT:  I can do that because I have ObjectDesktop subscriptions under 2 accounts, so I have more activations.  ;)
