Stardock not able to acivate

Hi,

This is my first time posting here, apologies if this is the incorrect area.

I have installed Stardock for Win10 onto a customers PC and am unable to activate it. I have installed over 50 Stardock for Win10 with no issues until now and am hoping I am just missing something :)

The PC is Win10 with the 1511 update installed. I have tried installing Versions: 1.06, 1.07 & 1.08. The message received is: "There was a problem connecting to the activation server..."

I have tried the offline activation but this also is not working. I upload the offline file at activation.stardock.com but the busy icon just goes around and around. I did try to copy the offline activation file to another pc and try it, but it still won't work.

Happy to provide any further details if required.

Please help!

David

What product are you trying to activate. There is no such thing as "Stardock for Win10".

Give the exact name of the program: Windowblinds10? Object Desktop? Object Dock? Tiles? etc....

Are you talking about Start 10?

*edit: What software have you installed and on whose computers 50 times?

Apologies. Yes, the product is Start 10.

I work in a small country town with many older people, so the Start 10 product is perfect for them with the free Windows 10 update which is why I've had so many activations :) Obviously all are purchased licences!

In this instance it was a fresh install of Win10, HDD formatted prior so there was no left over old software.

EDIT:

I just installed a fresh Start 10 onto my workshop PC (v1.08) and it is also unable to activate. IS anyone able to confirm a possible issue with the activation process?

Update,

I was finally able to get the Start 10 activated! \o/

To do so I installed Firefox and then went through the offline activation process and it worked. For some reason it would not work through IE or Edge??

Win 10's Edge and IE are both 'problematic', so much so that I've set most of mine to Chrome as default browser.... not for the same reason...but that they do have issues...;)

I can attest to that. Jafo's suggestion was to use a different browser, I use Chrome. That works whereas Edge and IE are born borked.
