Viewing The Map On Pause

Other games have had this feature. And it's great for lousy players like me.

I'd like the ability to click any location on the minimap while in pause and see the map. Scroll-wheel altitude with it would be great, too. Obviously, if that portion of the map's not revealed I'd get darkness. That's to be expected. This way I can pause the game in order to survey the landscape of my battles. Or, of course, when I come back after having to stop for any reason I can refresh my memory of what's going on when I eventually return.

Hm, perhaps I'm doing it wrong? I use the Escape key. Is there a dedicated Pause key with which it works and it doesn't with the Escape key?

Yes, the Pause key pauses the game.

That was the problem. I've been on a keyboard for many, many years. Escape is an easy thing for me to find and hit on any keyboard. Pause/Break? Not so much. So, I'll adapt.

I missed that too, I always hit escape to pause.
